Safety and Animal Welfare is Our Priority
At Benji, we understand the importance of a safe and secure pet adoption process. That's why we've taken every necessary step to ensure that our platform is secure and trustworthy. From thorough user verification to detailed pet adoption agreements, we do it all to give you peace of mind and make your pet adoption journey as smooth as possible.
User Verification
At Benji, we believe that the safety and security of our pet adopters and pet owners is of the utmost importance. That's why we've implemented a comprehensive identity verification process that requires a small fee.
The fee that we charge for identity verification helps us ensure that our community is made up of genuine, trustworthy individuals who are committed to finding pets loving homes. By charging a fee, we can invest in the latest technology and security measures to confirm the identity of all members of our community.
This helps reduce any potential scams or fraudulent activity on our platform, and ensures that the information that pet owners share about their pets is accurate and up-to-date. With Benji, you can have peace of mind knowing that the pet you're adopting is coming from a trustworthy source and that the pet's owner is committed to finding their pet a loving, permanent home.
We understand that paying a fee for identity verification may be an added expense, but we believe that it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind that comes with knowing that you're connecting with individuals who have the best interests of the pets at heart.
Pet Adoption Agreement
At Benji, we believe that every pet deserves a loving, forever home. That's why we offer a pet adoption agreement that helps make the adoption journey safer for everyone involved.
Our pet adoption agreement outlines the terms and conditions of the adoption, including the responsibilities of both the pet owner and the pet adopter.
For the prospective adopter, the agreement captures things like disclosures about the pet's medical history. It's also helpful to get a guarantee of the pet's health within a specified amount of time after the adoption.
For the current owner of the pet, the agreement also describes the responsibilities of the adopter including commitment to the health and wellbeing of their new family member.

Public Profiles and Reviews
At Benji, we believe that transparency is key to making pet adoption safer and more successful for everyone involved. That's why we've implemented user reviews and public profiles as an integral part of our platform.
User reviews allow pet adopters to read about the experiences of others who have adopted pets through Benji. These reviews provide valuable insights into the pet adoption process, including information about the pet, the pet owner, and the adoption experience itself. This information can help pet adopters make informed decisions about which pets and pet owners are the best match for their family.
Public profiles also play an important role in making pet adoption safer. These profiles help to build trust and transparency between pet owners and pet adopters. Pet owners can share information about their motivations for rehoming their pets. And pet adopters can learn more about the pet owners.
Pet Adoption Guidelines
At Benji, we're dedicated to making pet adoption safe and successful for everyone involved. To achieve this goal, we've developed a set of general pet adoption guidelines that we encourage all pet adopters to follow.
Do your research: Before adopting a pet, it's important to research the breed, size, and care requirements to ensure that the pet is a good fit for your lifestyle.
Meet the pet: Before making a final decision, it's important to meet the pet in person to ensure that you have a strong connection.
Beware of red flags: Be wary of pet owners who ask for large sums of money upfront, or who are reluctant to meet you in person.
Adopt from verified users: Look for pet owners with a verified user badge when searching for a pet to adopt on our platform.
Check the credentials: Make sure to verify the credentials of the pet owner before adopting a pet. Look for reviews, ratings, and feedback from other users to ensure that they are legitimate.
Check the adoption fee: Be wary of prices that seem too good to be true, as scammers often offer puppies at lower-than-market prices to attract potential buyers.
