Maya
We brought Maya home when she was just 8 weeks old. She was the only flashy brindle (black tiger stripes on a fawn coat) of the litter. She will be 5 on March 8th and is a well established adult. A typical boxer she is all play and will work for treats but is stubborn. If she doesn't want to work for them, she'll absolutely see if she can get you to give it up for free. She loves other dogs... after she knows them. She's slow to warm up to them though. She's also good around kids but we've learned that she struggles if there is an excess of commotion (Christmas with 3 families in the house. She got very anxious). When she first arrived, life was slower and we had a 1 acre yard she could run free in. She knew the yard limit and would never break the boundary, even when she was in hot pursuit of a squirrel or rabbit. Unfortunately, we have a much faster paced life now, a smaller yard, and both my partner and I travel frequently. She's not getting the focused time, nor exercise she's deserves, and so we would love to find her a home where she could get more attention. All veterinary care and shots up-to-date.
